🎉 Lo Hei, Laughter & Festive Cheer! 🎉

Yesterday, the Toa Payoh Guitar Club celebrated our Chinese New Year reunion in the most heartwarming and vibrant way! From engaging in lively CNY couplet guessing games to tossing yusheng (lo hei) with everyone sharing auspicious greetings, the event was filled with energy, laughter, and togetherness.

Our members truly made this celebration special. Some went the extra mile, carefully crafting the delicious dishes we enjoyed, while others put their creativity to work on the vibrant decorations that added so much cheer to the atmosphere. This display of teamwork and contribution perfectly reflects the spirit of our club.

What stood out the most yesterday was the shared camaraderie—a reminder that while practice sharpens our guitar skills, it’s the bonds we share that make our club so unique. And of course, amidst all the celebrations, we indulged in the joy of “making music” with food as well as strings!

Adding to the festivities, we also took the opportunity to record a special Valentine’s Day tribute in guitar ensemble style. Stay tuned for its release soon.

Here’s to many more moments of harmony and joy—both on our guitars and off-stage. 🥂🎶 Wishing all our members and friends a prosperous, melodic Lunar New Year! 🧧✨

TPGC Small Group Performance | 8th Sept 2018 (Sat) 1.30pm @ Bishan CC

The club small group will be performing a short session on the 8th Sept 2018 (Sat) at 1.30pm in Bishan CC. This is an event by RSVP Singapore.

 

Who RSVP Singapore is? The Organization of Senior Volunteers is a non-profit organization launched by then-Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong in October 1999 and approved as an Institution of Public Character in 1999. Their mission is to provide opportunities for Seniors to serve the community with their talent and experience through purpose-driven volunteerism. TPGC Annual General Meeting | 20th Jan 2018 @ 4pm | #03-01

Dear Member,

Once again, it’s the time of the year where the Management Committee 2017 handover the baton to the new elected Management Committee of 2018. Do take note that our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is schedule on the 20th Jan 2018 at 4pm. This is a member only event so public or non-member will not be allowed to attend.

Members who wish to have any other issues discussed during the AGM, please forward a written request to the Club secretary at least 1 week ahead of the meeting.

“Hey everybody! I’m really happy to be returning to the Esplanade Concourse for this year’s “Red Dot August” series! I first started performing at the Concourse in 2007, and I’m really happy to have been invited back ever since. This time, do come along for a set of local well-known tunes specially arranged for the guitar, as well as some guitar classics and more! As usual, it’s free, so it’s open to everyone of all ages! Looking forward to seeing you there on the 25th of August for a wonderful Friday evening!!!”
