Last Saturday, members of the Toa Payoh Guitar Club had the privilege of experiencing the incredible artistry of world-class guitarist Anton Baranov.
There’s something truly special about sharing moments like these with fellow guitar enthusiasts. It’s not just about the music—it’s about the dedication behind every note and the shared awe of witnessing mastery in action.
One performance that left us in absolute awe was Anton’s rendition of Flight of the Bumblebee. While this piece is widely known, seeing it played at super speed, flawlessly executed on the guitar, was a whole new level of brilliance. Watch his performance here.
Nights like these remind us why we’re so passionate about the guitar and the community it brings together.

On 17 January 2026, music and a true sense of community filled the ballroom at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Changi Airport. We were deeply honoured to be specially invited to open the Festival of Hearts – SG60 New Year Celebration with a performance that came straight from our hearts.
This meaningful event was organised by Project SMILE, a non-profit organisation dedicated to making a positive impact. It was a beautiful, collaborative effort that brought together and honoured around 300 seniors from various charities. We were also privileged to have the celebration graced by Dr Wan Rizal, Member of Parliament for Jalan Besar GRC, whose presence underscored the importance of community connection.
Celebrating Life with “Viva La Vida”
To kick off this special occasion, 17 of our members came together to perform “Viva La Vida”—a powerful song that reminds us to celebrate life in all its fullness. Every note we played was a testament to the joy of music and the power of shared experiences. Being part of such a unifying moment and seeing the smiles it brought to the audience was an unforgettable experience that reinforces why we do what we do.
These moments of connection, where music serves a greater purpose, are what truly inspire us.
